Are you on the hunt for the best wedding venues in Whistler?!? If so, you’re on the right track. There’s SO much to love about Whistler, especially when you’re planning your wedding!!!
As a wedding photographer, I try my best not to be biased about certain locations, but some of my best wedding shoots have taken place in this incredible town. Plus, there are just soooo many beautiful venues to choose from when it comes to making your big day the most spectacular it can be.
Not sure which wedding venue in Whistler is right for you? Let’s take a look at 10 of my top picks!!
But First, Here’s What to Consider When Considering Your Wedding Venue
Before we dive into my ultimate Whistler wedding venue guide, it’s important to stress that there is a lot to consider when considering a venue.
Before you begin searching, I like to recommend that couples sit down and make up a checklist of venue must-haves and other essentials and considerations. Remember, there are tons of venues to choose from, and the search can easily become overwhelming if you’re not entirely sure what you want out of your big day!
You can help narrow down your search by having a good idea of the below:
First, Set Your Budget
It’s safe to assume you have a budget, and the last thing you want to do is fall in love with a venue you can’t afford! If this happens, you risk feeling like you’re settling on anything less than the venue out of your price range, and that’s no fun at all.
It’s always a good idea to go in with a wedding budget in mind and stick with exploring venues that meet those restrictions.
Pick Your Wedding Date And Plan Accordingly
The seasons matter, especially in a popular tourist town like Whistler. Not only will weather play a role in your wedding aesthetic, attire, travel expenses, and hotel costs, but it will also play a role in how available the wedding venue of your dreams is.
The most popular seasons to wed in Whistler are spring and summer, and these are also some of the busiest seasons for the town. This means venues will be more difficult to come by, with some venues needing to be booked a year or so in advance.
How Many Guests Are You Inviting To The Wedding?
Most wedding venues will have a guest capacity. Some venues offer smaller, more intimate settings while others can accommodate an entire stadium full of guests! (Okay, not really a stadium-full, but you know what I’m getting at).
Keep your guest list in mind when choosing your venue so you’re able to share the big day with everyone important to you.
Know Your Wedding Day Aesthetic
You know that Pinterest board you’ve been pinning to since you were like 12?!? Now’s your chance to put it to use!
Knowing your wedding day aesthetic when looking at venues will help in a maaaajor way when it comes to narrowing down your top picks. Trust me!!!
Indoor Vs Outdoor
Some venues are primarily focused on indoor ceremonies while others accommodate outdoor. Then there are the fancy few that offer both options! Try and have a good idea of what you want so you can find the venue that matches your dream day.
Consider The Activities Nearby
This is especially important if you have guests coming in from out of town or if you and your honey are making a weekend trip out of your wedding extravaganza.
And speaking of activities, don’t count out the romantic couple’s activities nearby.
Pro tip: The Scandinave Spa Whistler makes for a great relaxation spot for the day after your big day!
Okay, now that we’ve covered your pre-venue search checklist, let’s get to the good stuff. Here are some of my all-time favorite wedding venues in Whistler!!!
The Best Wedding Venues In Whistler
1. The Whistler Westin Resort & Spa
Capacity: 1,100
Topping my list of Whistler wedding venues is the absolutely stunning Westin Resort & Spa in Whistler. It offers 16 event rooms to host the wedding of your dreams, and its capacity can range from the low 100s up to 1,100 guests.
I actually shot Elsa and Reza’s wedding at the Westin Whistler and it could not have been more perfect. Literally, I loved it, the couple loved it, the guests loved it — we all loved it.
10/10: Highly recommended!!!
2. Fairmont Chateau Whistler Resort
Capacity: 1,500
When it comes to Whistler Canada wedding venues, we certainly can’t leave out the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Resort. With a guest capacity of up to 1,500 guests, dramatic mountain views, and 32,000 square feet, there is more than enough to do in and around this venue to satisfy your every wedding desire.
I personally love the versatility of this resort, which offers indoor and outdoor accommodations and the ability to adhere to any unique aesthetic you can dream of.
3. First Tracks Lodge
Capacity: 90
If you’re looking for more intimate Whistler wedding locations, you’ll want to consider the absolutely breathtaking First Tracks Lodge. It provides excellent accommodations for couples and guests alike, but one of my favorite things about this venue is that it offers so many activities nearby.
The venue is excellent at offering custom options to more adventurous guests and can help facilitate activities like snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and scenic gondola rides so you can enjoy the vistas.
4. Whistler Sport Legacies
Capacity: 640
The Whistler Sports Legacies is unique in that it offers couples two different wedding venue options, including Whistler Olympic Park and the Whistler Sliding Center.
Both options provide beautiful views and photo opportunities, and the location can accommodate much more intimate weddings with just a few of your closest family and friends, or very large weddings with up to over 600 guests!
5. Whistler Blackcomb
Capacity: 1,000
If you’re looking for a view that will blow your guests’ minds and send a shiver down your photographer’s spine, then you should consider the Whistler Blackcomb. Situated at the top of Whistler Mountain at over 1,890 miles above sea level, you’ll get panoramic views of the gorgeous, snow-capped peaks at every turn.
Breathtaking at the golden hour, the midnight hour, any hour really! Photo opportunities are endless at this venue, and couples are never disappointed.
6. Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Center
Capacity: 300
If you haven’t visited the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Center yet, you should regardless of if you’re looking to host your wedding day here or not.
The venue is an entire experience, combining the beautiful cultures of The Squamish Nation and the Lil’wat Nation to create a remarkable venue that offers a perfectly unique backdrop to the charmed wedding of your dreams.
7. The Penthouse Event Suite
Capacity: 65
When it comes to incredible small wedding venues in Whistler, the Penthouse Event Suite may take the cake.
While you may have a smaller guest list of 65 guests, there will be no shortage of partying at this beautiful location, which offers both indoor and outdoor accommodations, spectacular lighting, rooftop amenities, and dynamic views for beautiful wedding photos.
8. Pandray Inn and Tea House
Capacity: 80
Another of our favorite smaller Whistler BC wedding venues is the absolutely adorable Pendray Inn and Tea House. This is the perfect venue for a couple that appreciates the delicacy of historical architecture and class.
Originally known as the Gatsby Mansion, you and your guests will feel like you’ve stepped back in time, making for a fairytale-like atmosphere both indoors and out and an ethereal setting for romantic photos both in the gardens and inside the venue.
9. The Nicklaus North Golf Course
Capacity: 200
The Nicklaus North Golf Course is one of our Whistler outdoor wedding venues worth considering, especially if you want to get photos on the water. You get it all at this venue. You’ll be surrounded by lush trees and mountains, and have stunning lake views as you say your “I do’s” in front of your family and friends.
And while this is a golf course, winter weddings are just breathtaking here. The snow-covered grounds provide picture perfection, especially for more intimate weddings.
10. The Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler
Capacity: 350
I could not create a list of stunning Whistler winter wedding venues without mentioning the Four Seasons Resort and Residences. With a capacity of up to 350 guests, couples have the option of choosing between several event spaces that provide a mix of elegance and rustic charm perfect for anyone looking to wed in winter.
An enormous outdoor stone fireplace allows for a beautiful setting for chillier wedding ceremonies, and panoramic views of the Whistler and Blackcomb mountains will greet you and your guests at every turn.

This makes Whistler the perfect destination for a weekend wedding where both you and your guests can escape the hustle and bustle of “real life” and enjoy all the beautiful scenery, bars, cafes, and shops that Whistler has to offer!
I personally adore Whistler because of the overall vibe. It just matches up with my personality so well, not to mention there are so many gorgeous opportunities for photo ops outside of venues and throughout the village like Rainbow Park, Olympic Rings, or Lost Lake.
